For example we just had a gentleman call our Storage Station location here in Wayne a few minutes ago looking for packing peanuts. It was unfortunate that we did not have any left here in stock and they are on order but I know our other location located at 1867 Greenwood Lake Turnpike in West Milford, NJ 07480 had some in stock so I gave him directions and he is off and away to go there and pick some up. He expressed he really needed them for some project he was doing with his son and did not mind if he had to run up to West Milford to grab some in a pinch. Anyways West Milford is just a short drive from our Wayne location and when you are in need you are in need and at least we were able to provide him with what he needed. He was more than happy that he could find some on a Saturday and thanked me over the phone many times. So not only were we able to get this gentleman what he needed we were also able to save the day for him one packing peanut at a time… 

Moving forward just to let it be known we also carry bubble wrap in various sizes to protect any delicate item you may be moving or storing or if the item is not extremely fragile we also have packing paper that you can wrap items in or even use it to separate certain items and mark them to keep yourself organized. We also have mattress covers to keep your mattress nice and clean during your move as well as dust covers to put over your end tables, coffee tables and couches as well as chair covers to keep your lazy boy or lounge chair protected. Really when you think about it we have something for everyone when it comes to packing, moving, organizing or consolidating. Did I mention we can store all of these items for you as well?? I guess that was kind of implied in my first sentence.

Here I am ready to start another day at Storage Station 2354 Hamburg Turnpike in Wayne New Jersey. I will start by checking the grounds and the picking up any garbage that may be on the property. We take pride in keeping the grounds and hallways at Storage Station clean and looking great.  

I then tour of the facility checking to see if anyone has vacated a Storage Station unit. This is done by opening any unlocked unit and checking to see if the contents were removed. An empty unit usually means the unit was vacated but then we also call the tenant to make sure he or she vacated the unit. The reason for checking with the tenant is that he or she might be storing a vehicle or motorcycle in the unit that they may have taken out and not yet put back.  

We see a lot of this when there is a mild spell during the winter and a person who has an antique car or motorcycle may take it out for a spin. If contents are still in the unit it usually means the unit has been accidently left unlocked by one of our tenants. I remember this happening with a tenant who was storing items from his house while it was being repaired from damage caused by a flood. When dealing with this kind of event the tenant may have many things on their mind and I can see how a tenant might forget to lock their unit. We will lock the unit with either the tenants lock if it was left in the unit or one of Storage Station’s locks and then inform the tenant that his unit was left open.

It is important for tenants to make sure their phone numbers and address are up to date in case we have to contact them. At this point I will now check to see if there any messages left on the answering machine from last night. Some tenants may call because they might have forgotten there unit number, access number or may want to pay their rent for the current month.  A prospective tenant may have called to inquire about acquiring a storage unit. Based on the various messages I will begin to call and answer these calls.

The staff at Storage Station here in Wayne and I am sure in our other facilities always puts an emphasis on customer service. We are here to assist our customers in any way we can. So if you are having any problem while here at Storage Station please stop in the office and the staff will gladly assist you in solving your problem.
