I just received an interesting phone call from a new tenant that had rented a unit but had not moved into it yet.  Originally they had stopped by about a week ago.  They are about to move from their home to a new condo locally.  

I suggested that we look at a couple of different sized units, and they could pick the one that best suited their needs.  After looking at a 10 x 10, and 5 x 10 and a 5 x 15 sized unit they decided that the 5 x 10 would be perfect.  They were not going to need it till they were moving, so I told them we would hold the unit for them.  

Today, when I came in and did my morning tour, I found a unit that did not have a lock on it, and was empty.  I looked up the unit and found that it had been rented yesterday.  So I figured that the new tenant forgot to put the lock on it, and I would wait till the afternoon and check again, and give them a call if it was still open.  Here is where we get back to the phone call.  It was from the tenant that had rented the unit yesterday, and they said that they were having 2nd thoughts concerning the unit that they rented yesterday.  I asked, in what way?  The caller went on to say that thinking everything over, they believed that a larger unit would be better.  The caller said that they would be coming to the unit often and maybe a ground floor unit would be better, and they also were hoping a larger unit was available?  I told them that was a simple fix, stop down and we will adjust the paperwork for a different unit.  They will be back on Saturday morning and we will do the transfer paperwork for their larger unit.  The caller chuckled and said that the unit I was suggesting was the original unit that they looked out originally. 

They really did a lot of things right.
